Backpack, Full Size Expedition Pack, Mountain Equipment

This is a nice backpack from Mountain Equipment Co-Op.  Can carry heavy loads with minimal strain - will easily carry 40 pound loads. Medium to large size interior frame fits average size adult men and women. Expands from 5000-6000 cu in. Weighs 5 pounds.  Shoulder straps and hip belt are padded and comfortable.  All zippers and latches work. One large external pocket.  Access to main compartment from top or from side zipper.  Many technical features: compression straps, lashing straps, ski slots, ice ax loops, water bottle pouches, daisy chain, etc. Detachable lid - large enough for all the items needed for quick access on the trail, doubles as hip pack for day trips from camp.   A real top notch high end backpack for multi-day trips.  Quality throughout, compares favorably with new $300-$400 packs from top name brands.  M.E. Co-op makes good quality packs, I think they are under appreciated - so many features.  They don't make 'em like they used to - built to last.  The snow is melting and the mountains are opening up.
